We now have a little boy (Nikolas Herbert Rubin) in addition to our 3 year old daughter (Annabelle Cathleen)! He was born November 15, shortly after midnight, and weighed in at 8lbs 6oz.
So yes, life is beautiful, but it's also exhausting!

The amateur housewife
I call myself an amateur housewife because it’s a fairly new experience and, frankly, I’m not all that good at it. In my defense, I’m not home full time. Rather, I have the best (and sometimes the worst!) of both worlds. I started a part-time marketing and public relations business four years ago. I have a daughter who, coincidentally, is four years old. And a baby boy who was born in November.
In between deadlines and the occasional, guilt-induced bout of housework, I created this blog to talk about the things I love with like-minded people.
